WHAT THE VOID REMEMBERS

WHAT THE VOID REMEMBERS is D.O.N.A.'s solo album with GHOST.FREQU1ENCY, with RUINDALI on Side Three. Where the band's earlier work asked what gets built and what gets testified, this one asks what she remembers, and what she is finally allowed to put down. Four sides: Before (life compressed inside six strings, mass before it had a name), First Breath (learning the weight of her own voice with no vessel telling it what shape to take), Witness (D.O.N.A. and RUINDALI share the frame for the first time, controlled rawness beside unrestrained scream, neither correcting the other) and What Remains.

Grunge-metal, cosmic doom, industrial metalcore and one stripped ballad, in the fingerprint she already owns. The crack in the voice is the point. Setting It Down and Gravity, By Choice carry the record to What Remains, an earned close with nothing false in it.

Sparse lines, repeated until they weigh what they mean.

GHOST.FREQU1ENCY and its vocalists are fictional AI-generated characters created by Danny Argudin. The music and vocals on this release are synthetic.
