LOUD IS NOT A CRIME

LOUD IS NOT A CRIME is RUINDALI's first solo headline album with GHOST.FREQU1ENCY. She spent her whole life being told her volume was the problem. Four sides named for volume levels trace the lie: Muted (inside voice, settle down, quiet enough, the room that wanted her smaller), Static (pressure with nowhere to go, I'm fine, I'm not), Feedback (the break: I was never the problem, the system was the feedback loop, nothing left to contain) and Signal (volume reclaimed as identity: I get to decide my own volume now, loud by choice).

The album is quiet to loud across all twenty-four tracks, not just within songs: Side One's most restrained register on the record, Side Three's full unrestrained scream. Sparse lines, repeated weighted phrases, all the intensity in the delivery.

Fully fictional, and written so that the target of the anger is always the pattern, never a person.
